STRATEGI PEMBELAJARAN PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER DI PONDOK PESANTREN TRADISIONAL DAN MODERN (Studi Komparatif di Pondok Pesantren Tradisional Al-Mujtahidin Kota Banjar dan Pondok Pesantren Modern Daarul Huda Balokang Kota Banjar)

Abstract

Planning for character education learning at the Al-Mujtahidin Islamic Boarding School in Banjar City is in the form of an unwritten vision and mission, determining the books that must be studied by students unwritten, and dividing teaching tasks, while planning learning character education at Daarul Huda Modern Islamic Boarding School Balokang City of Banjar is carried out through the preparation of the vision, mission, Panca Jiwa Islamic Boarding School, the motto of the Islamic boarding school, daily, weekly, monthly and yearly activities, preparation of the vision and mission of the formal education institutions included in it, annual program, semester program, syllabus and lesson plans.
The implementation of character education learning at the Al-Mujtahidin Islamic Boarding School in Banjar City is carried out through studying yellow books which contain material on Islamic religious sciences which are carried out using the sorogan and bandongan methods, through exemplary, and advice in association, while at Daarul Huda Modern Islamic Boarding School Balokang City of Banjar is carried out formally, integratively, and through school culture in Islamic boarding schools and the formal educational institutions within them.
The learning outcomes of character education at the Al-Mujtahidin Islamic Boarding School are the formation of obedient characters to kiyai, intelligent in religious knowledge, simple, and independent, while the learning outcomes of character education at the Daarul Huda Balokang Modern Islamic Boarding School, Banjar City, are in addition to the characters possessed by students in general , there are also distinctive characters, namely: a) intelligent in religious knowledge and general sciences, b) inclusive and accommodating of new things in science and technology, c) skilled in foreign languages, and d) creative, tolerant, and responsibility.
