PERAN PEREMPUAN DI RANAH DOMESTIK DAN RANAH PUBLIK DALAM MENUNJANG KEBERHASILAH PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM (STUDI PANDANGAN ISTRI TURUNAN KIAI PONDOK PESANTREN AL-QUR’AN CIJANTUNG DALAM MENUNJANG KEBERHASILAN PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM
Abstract
Women no longer only play the role of a mother carrying out reproductive functions, taking care of children and husbands or other domestic work, but are already active in various fields of social, economic, political life, and of course education, both formal and non-formal education. In many cases, women's careers often become very dominant while domestic duties and responsibilities in the family are neglected which in turn must be paid very dearly in the form of failure to form a sakinah household. It is issues like these that need to be scrutinized and analyzed further so that the problem of domestication and the dual roles of women in the family gets a balanced relationship. In the field of education of course a woman has a very important role, in formal or non-formal education. In non-formal education, especially in education in the family, women should be the first pillar in educating, fostering and protecting their regeneration. Women who become mothers are madrosatul 'ula for their children. Likewise in formal education, women who choose themselves to play an active role in the public world outside of their duties at home, of course they also have a very influential role. Likewise for women who take part in the world of Islamic boarding schools, let alone those who have the fate of having a descendant of Kiai, of course their role is even more complex. Based on these problems, the researcher is interested in conducting research on the role of the wives of the descendants of the Kyai at the Cijantung Al-Qur'an Islamic boarding school.
This study aims to find out the role of the wives of the descendants of the Kiai at the Al-Qur'an Islamic boarding school in Cijantung. The research method used is descriptive method with a qualitative approach. While the data collection techniques that will be used in this study are: observation techniques, interview techniques, documentation techniques. The data analysis techniques in this study are: data reduction, data display, data verification or drawing conclusions.
The research results obtained, First, the role of the wives of the Kiai Al-Qur'an Cijantung Islamic boarding school in the domestic sphere includes their role as a wife who always obeys the teachings and directions of their husbands. they always try to act, think and look as their husband wishes and hopes. In addition, because they live in the Islamic boarding school complex and they are part of the family, at least they have duties and responsibilities besides being ummul wiladahibu who give birth and provide education since in the womb, as well as ummul ifadahibu who provide benefits, namely to students as well as the community. Second, the role of the wives of the descendants of the Kiai Al-Qur'an Islamic boarding school in Cijantung in the public domain is how their husbands provide policies. Allowing or not playing a role in developing wings outside the house. However, regarding being an educator both in schools and Islamic boarding schools, everyone realizes that it is their responsibility as part of the Al-Qur'an Cijantung Islamic boarding school family.
