KONSEP PENDIDIKAN ISLAM PERSPEKTIF IMAM AL-SHATIBI
Abstract
In Islam, education is very important, there are many arguments in the Qur'an and Al-Hadith that explain the importance of education. The first thing Rasulullah SAW did in spreading da'wah was through education and da'wah, starting from a small scope to a large scope. Education is one of the steps to instill the values of faith and Islam in students so that they are able to interact well with God, themselves, and others. Education has a big impact on the growth and progress of a nation. When talking about the most relevant educational concepts at this time is not easy, even many experts discuss and research the concept of education in various generations and ages, as if this discussion never ends. This is because there are still people who are very concerned about the world of education. Therefore, education must be conceptualized so that it can be implemented from an early age so that the younger generation can get an education that is in accordance with their talents and interests, one of which is Islamic Religious Education (PAI) which is the main basis in the formation of a devout Muslim person, with character and able to face various challenges. future challenges. The objectives of this study are: 1) to find out the concept of Islamic education according to classical education experts 2) to find out the concept of Islamic education according to contemporary education experts 3) to find out the concept of Islamic education from Imam Al-Shatibi's perspective. 4) to find out the relevance of the concept of Islamic education according to Imam Al-Shatibi with contemporary Islamic education.
In this study, the author uses a type of qualitative research using content analysis methods that focus on the concept of Islamic education from the perspective of Imam Al-Shatibi. The results showed that: 1) Imam Al-Shatibi explained that education is education of the heart (qolbu) and physical as well as guiding human behavior to control their lusts so that they become servants of Allah SWT 2) Imam Al-Shatibi revealed about educational factors among others: the basis, objectives, curriculum, teachers, students, and also the way of teaching. In detail, Al-Shatibi explained about the basics of Islamic education according to him, namely the Al-Quran, Al-Hadith, ijma, qiyas, the words of friends, maqosid sharia, and maslahah mursalah 3) In achieving the goals of Islamic education, Al-Shatibi explained about several things that support the achievement of educational goals. 4) Imam Al-Shatibi also explained effective teaching methods and methods, namely: (1) Oral method, (2) Reading books, (3) Understanding the purpose of science, and knowing the terms, (4) Studying books previous scholars.
