DAMPAK PANDEMI COVID-19 TERHADAP MANAJEMEN KURIKULUM DAN PEMBELAJARAN

Abstract

The pandemic is still continuing even though it has been almost two years since it entered our country. Many companies and institutions have been affected by this pandemic, especially the world of education. How not learning can no longer be done as usual. Must do distance learning or online learning. This is a dilemma for the Islamic boarding school institution, plus the Islamic boarding school is a semi-modern salaf Islamic boarding school. The purpose of the researcher was to find out the impact felt by the Riyadussalikin Islamic Boarding School in Padaherang in carrying out the POAC stages in managing curriculum and learning in disaster emergency response situations, especially the Covid-19 pandemic. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research by studying documents, interviewing sources, and documentation at the Riyadussalikin Islamic Boarding School, Padaherang. The result of this research is that the Covid-19 pandemic has had a very pronounced impact on the Riyadussallikin Padaherang Islamic boarding school institution, namely that Islamic boarding schools have to plan curriculum and learning strategies so that students always remain conducive even when learning online. Continue to optimize the management team to plan so that activities can still be carried out with maximum coordination with the government and the Task Force, as well as plan learning the PJJ system without gadgets or devices using modules because schools must follow the rules of Islamic boarding schools which do not allow students to bring these tools. In terms of organization, Pesantren Riyadussalikin groups the management team into 3, the management team of the Islamic Boarding School, namely the SMA Management Team, SMP management team, each management team has an additional job description to condition each activity by complying with the prokes and must always synergize with superiors above institutions such as the education office and the Ministry of Religion, as a result, the Islamic Boarding School added personnel to each management team. The management team must be prepared to deal with disaster emergency response situations. Flexibility in curriculum and learning, quickly adapting to schedule changes made by pesantren and foundations. Get around the saturation of the students who are not allowed to go home, limiting the visits of the guardians of the students and guests from outside the pesantren environment. Organize small-scale activities that can entertain the students. Not only the negative impact that was felt by the Riyadussalikin Islamic Boarding School during this pandemic, but there was also a positive impact that was felt, namely, formal school learning that used the online system with the module resulted in a lot of school learning hours being reduced, so that the pesantren filled their time by delivering material that could not be used. conveyed because of the limited time to study Islamic boarding school. Supervision of the course of activities in Islamic boarding schools is completely online, visits are carried out at the latest every 6 months, both from the government and the education office. The strengthening of the curriculum, principals, teachers, and Islamic boarding schools is carried out online. For curriculum evaluation, the impact is that everything that is not done during the pandemic is understood by several parties from the supervision of both foundations and schools. The national exams are abolished and replaced with school exams whose graduation standards are only determined by their respective institutions. The curriculum evaluation system and learning have become completely online, using electronic communication media. However, for the implementation of the exam because the students are still in the pesantren environment, it is still carried out face-to-face with strict procedures.
