KONSEP TAUHID MENURUT OSMAN BAKAR DAN IMPLIKASINYA TERHADAP ILMU PENDIDIKAN

Abstract

The development of increasingly sophisticated and fast technology has a great impact on the life of the nation. In addition to the positive impact that greatly facilitates access to data/science and other conveniences, there is a major impact facing this nation. Namely, the weakness of the spirit and the destruction of the nation's morality. Education is the best solution in dealing with this challenge. However, education alone is not enough to be the basis of this nation. So that the foundation of monotheism is needed. The aims of this study are: 1) to understand the concept of monotheism according to Osman Bakar. 2) to find out Osman Bakar's monotheism concept of education. This form of research uses qualitative research with content analysis methods. The data source is taken from two data, namely 1) primary data, namely taking data from a book by Osman Bakar. 2) secondary data, namely taking from studies that are still related to the research discussion. Furthermore, the data collection techniques and instruments used the documentation method. According to Osman Bakar, monotheism is an inseparable part of the scientific spirit to be knowledgeable or closely related to science. Facing current technological developments, the nation's children must have a strong monotheistic basis and a spirit of knowledge that is integrated with the belief in the Oneness of Allah SWT. As for the concept of monotheism according to Osman Bakar on education science, among others: 1) creating a culture of scientific or knowledgeable thinking. 2) trigger holistic thinking in understanding all problems. 3) as an inspiration for Muslim intellectuals in their work. 4) there is harmony between the goals of education and monotheism. 5) educational institutions can prepare the best curriculum, for the sake of creating a holistic and integrated education with monotheism. 6) educators and students learn to be more pro-active with the times by staying guided in the corridor of monotheism. 7) create a comprehensive learning environment.
